The visit to La Bouille 5-7 May took place as planned and was a great success despite cold and showery weather.  See Trip 2012 for details.

Vicky and Martin hosted a get together, for those who visited La Bouille, on Friday 1 June at Little Langtree.  About 20 attended and enjoyed a convivial evening in the garden and later indoors to view the many photos - some of which are shown here.  See 2012 Photos.

The Whitchurch Hill Fete followed the next day on Saturday 2 June.  The weather stayed dry and even became quite warm.  Attendance was good and the twinning stall sold out of cakes and savouries by 3.15pm.   A huge number of raffle tickets were sold for the basket of French food and wine.  Net takings were a record which will stand us in good stead for next year's French visit.

About the Twinning Association

The aim of the Twinning Association is to foster Anglo-French relations. It offers an opportunity to:

  • Make friends on the other side of the Channel

  • Get to know your Whitchurch and Goring Heath neighbours better

  • Participate in the French way of life

  • Explore a beautiful region of France

  • Practise your French

If you don't speak a word of French there are plenty of English-speakers who will be happy to host you.

The Twinning Association was founded in 1978 and has gone from strength to strength since then. Read more about the Twinning Association's history and organisation here.
